Terms of Service

Globo lets you scan a place in front of you and read or listen to its history. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Globo for that purpose. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the app except as allowed by law.

You are responsible for the email and password you use, and for activity on your account. You must provide accurate information. We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is abused or creates risk for others.

Some features (for example unlimited scans, richer timelines, or offline history) may require Globo Pro. Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Restore purchases from the paywall if you reinstall.

Histories, dates, and audio are provided for exploration. They may be incomplete or contain errors. Globo is not a professional research, navigation, or safety service. Do not trespass or ignore local rules while scanning.

Photos you capture are used to identify the place: we process them into visual embeddings and may retain those embeddings (with scan-time location metadata) to operate and improve recognition. You must only scan places you are allowed to photograph. You keep any rights you have in your photos; you grant us a licence to process them solely to operate Globo, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not misuse Globo (for example attempting to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or use it to harass others). We may limit scans or access if we detect abuse.

Globo is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Historical information is not a substitute for on-site guidance or official sources.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hot Forge Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data. Our total liability for a claim relating to Globo is limited to the amount you paid us for Globo Pro in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you use only the free features). These limits do not affect rights that cannot be waived, including consumer rights in the EU.

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Courts in Paris, France have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to sue in your home courts.
